Privacy Policy
Last updated May 28, 2026
Long Island Today, LLC (“LIT,” “we,” “us”) runs litlongisland.com. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. We keep it short on purpose.
What we collect
- Email address — when you subscribe to the Weekend Briefing or create an account.
- Account details — your plan (free or Insider) and basic preferences.
- Usage data — privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics (pages viewed, general location by region) to understand what’s useful. We do not sell this.
How we use it
- To send the email you asked for and nothing you didn’t.
- To operate your account and, for Insiders, process subscription billing through our payment provider.
- To improve the events, restaurant, and good-news coverage we publish.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell your personal information. We don’t share your email with advertisers. You can unsubscribe from any email with one click, and you can delete your account at any time.
Cookies & storage
We use local browser storage to remember your sign-in and preferences, and lightweight analytics cookies. You can clear these in your browser at any time.
Your choices
To access, correct, or delete your data, or to ask a question, email hello@litlongisland.com. We respond within a few business days.
Changes
If we update this policy we’ll change the date above and, for material changes, note it in the Weekend Briefing.
